Usec. Niña Taduran to Spearhead the First-Ever Iriga City Charter Marathon 2026

IRIGA CITY, CAMARINES SUR — In a bold celebration of health, unity, pride, and community spirit, the City of Iriga is set to host the highly anticipated first-ever Iriga City Charter Marathon 2026 on September 12, 2026, bringing together runners, fitness enthusiasts, families, and distinguished personalities from across the country for what is expected to become one of Bicol’s premier marathon events.

Spearheading the historic initiative is Niña Taduran, whose advocacy for health, wellness, and active living among her fellow Irigueños has inspired the creation of a marathon that goes beyond competition and transforms into a citywide celebration of pride and togetherness.

Known for her dedication to public service and community development, Usec. Taduran envisions the event not only as a sporting activity but also as a platform to promote healthier lifestyles, tourism, youth engagement, and community participation in Iriga City.
